Sexual health
The World Health Organization, WHO, defines sexual health as a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being related to sexuality.
It does not just mean the absence of an illness or dysfunction.
Sexual and reproductive health go hand in hand. Good sexual and reproductive health means:
- ability to enjoy sex that satisfies all parties
- possibility of not being subjected to sexual abuse
- protection from sexually transmitted diseases
- successful pregnancy planning
- access to safe pregnancies and births
