Our Adviser on Development Cooperation is responsible for managing and planning Väestöliitto’s development cooperation which is part of Väestöliitto’s programme to advance the realization of sexual rights. The programme aims at empowering people and realize everyone’s right to self-determination. Laura has advanced sexual rights at Väestöliitto since 2006. She is responsible for Väestöliitto’s LGBTIQ+ project in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe as well as SGBV prevention project in Malawi. Laura is inspired by promoting sexuality education and the development of programme management. Laura has a master’s degree in social sciences, majoring in sociology, and is also an authorized sexuality educator. (SSS).
