Organisation and economy
We have 34 member organisations. They gather twice a year for meetings in which operating plans, budgets, and financial statements are accepted. The governing body – the board – is elected in these meetings as well.
The CEO works as a subordinate for the board. The operating committee helps the CEO. CEO runs the different operations of Väestöliitto: joint service functions (economy, management, and communications), international development, Population Research Institute, and service activities (services to support young people, boys, parenthood, grandparenthood, early childhood education, and immigrants in Finland).
